Kids can enjoy day camps during Spring Break or the Summer Holidays

Pre-registration is required. Registration can be completed over the phone (604-297-4565), in-person at the Museum or any Burnaby recreation centre, or on-line through WebReg. (The family PIN and client numbers are available at Burnaby recreation centres.)

Heritage Adventure Summer Camps

These camps feature crafts, games, fun activities and daily rides on the carousel! Kids travel back in time to experience life as it was in the 1920s though a variety of hands-on activities.

$160 ($145 members) no tax

A Young Lady's Life

Go back in time to experience life as a "young lady" in the 1920s as you go to school, make handcrafts, bake cookies in the Love Farmhouse, dress up in old-fashioned clothes, and even learn to dance the Charleston!

Back to Nature Week

Get down and dirty in this week of plants, bugs, and critters of all sizes. Go canoeing on Deer Lake, visit the Chinese Herbalist, take nature walks, embark on a scavenger hunt, and have lots of fun with crafts!

Radio Daze NEW

NEW Attention radio listeners! Come and explore radio history in this new week-long radio- themed summer camp. We'll be exploring crystal radio sets, learning the art of foley and even creating our own radio play. Have lots of fun with radio-themed activities as we explore vintage radio at the Burnaby Village Museum.

Fun with Food

Finally, you have the chance to play with your food! You'll get to paint with fruit, make piñatas, bake cookies in the Love Farmhouse, start your own cookbook, and do all sorts of other food crafts!

NEW Imagine a world without TV. Youngsters will be exploring the world of radio in this radio-inspired camp. Explore sound as you've never heard it before including music, sound effects and radio drama. Lots of games and radio-themed activities will keep the children engaged and interested. Join us as we gather round the radio at the Burnaby Village Museum.

Discover Burnaby's multicultural roots! We will learn about Japanese, Chinese, Indian and First Nations communities through traditional games and crafts.

A Little Girl's Life

Spring Break Heritage Adventure Camp

In a 1920s setting, children play heritage games and sports, make spring-themed cookies, enjoy activities at the tram, go on nature walks, and enjoy daily carousel rides! This year there will be special activities focusing on children's stories and their characters, scenes and plots.
