Victoria Day, May 23
May 17, 2016
A Festive Day for the Whole Family
Victoria Day, here at the Village, is full of pomp, ceremony, and fun
PLUS our Market Monday Vendors.
The Queen's Procession starts at 1:45, followed by speeches, cupcakes and a Levée.
What's a Levée?
The word levée comes form the French verb 'se lever" meaning to get up or rise. A Levée is a formal moment of accessibility to a monarch or leader. In Britain male officials, diplomats and military officers were presented individually to the sovereign, while following strict codes of etiquette.
If you or your family, would like to be presented to the Queen, her Ladies-In-Waiting will instruct you in the proper etiquette.Go to Top
