Connecting China and Burnaby

UBC students to share research with Museum visitors

We are pleased to announce a joint partnership with the:

Research on Chinese Canadian history in BC will be shared through a partnership with UBC Asian Canadian & Asian Migration Studies program (ACAM), the UBC Centre for Community Engaged Learning (CCEL),  the UBC Faculty of Land and Food Systems (LFS), UBC Go Global, and St. John’s College, UBC (SJC).

Through this partnership, 18 undergraduate students are travelling Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia in June, as part of a course taught by Dr. Henry Yu. They will learn about heritage conservation, medicinal eating practices, and migration history and bring their knowledge and information back to the Museum to share with visitors at the Museum.
