UBC students to share research with Museum visitors

We are pleased to announce a joint partnership with the:

Research on Chinese market gardens and Chinese medicine traditions will be shared through a partnership with Asian Canadian & Asian Migration Studies program (ACAM), the UBC Centre for Community Engaged Learning (CCEL), UBC Go Global, the UBC Faculty of Land and Food Systems (LFS), and St. John’s College, UBC (SJC). 

Through this partnership, 20 undergraduate students are travelling to Kaiping, China and Hong Kong in June, as part of a course taught by Dr. Henry Yu. In China, they will explore agricultural and medicinal food traditions, and bring their knowledge and information back to the Museum to share with visitors July 6-to September 2, 2018 (Tuesday-Sunday) at our Chinese Market Demonstration Garden and Way Sang Yuen Wat Kee & Co medicine shop (Herbalist Shop).
