Interested in volunteering? Join the Burnaby Village Museum team.

Museum volunteers take on a variety of exciting roles including: sharing activities with the public; assisting with school programs and groups; helping with special events; working with the historical artifacts in the collection; and more.

Join our team

Applicants to the museum's volunteer program must:

  • be minimum 14 years of age (parental consent is required for all applicants under the age of 18)
  • have valid medical coverage/insurance
  • be fluent in English
  • be eligible to volunteer in Canada
  • provide two references
  • commit to a minimum of one year, and at least 35 hours of volunteer service per year
  • be physically able to navigate the museum’s 10-acre site
