The Museum Policy [PDF - 153 KB] (2003), has been created with public input from both citizens and representatives of cultural organizations in the community. Significant research in the field, as well as staff contributions, has ensured that the policy establishes a sound, professional footing for the institution.
The BVM Policy is complementary to the functions of the Community Heritage Commission, which is responsible for designated heritage properties, and the City of Burnaby Archives. The Archives is responsible for municipal government and community records. The BVM Policy is a planning and management tool that provides direction for the Museum into the future.Go to Top
