Heritage Christmas presented by Concord Pacific Returns to Burnaby Village Museum

November 26, 2021

One of the most beloved holiday events in Metro Vancouver is back this year, as Heritage Christmas at Burnaby Village Museum returns from November 27 to January 3.

During Heritage Christmas, Burnaby Village Museum is transformed into a winter wonderland featuring elaborate light displays, festive decorations and live entertainment. Families can take a ride on the restored 1912 C.W. Parker Carousel or take part in an animal-themed scavenger hunt that includes a collection of decorated eco-sculptures like salmon, heron and hawks.

Admission is free for all visitors, and advance registration is not required.

“We’re so excited to welcome families back to Burnaby Village Museum this holiday season for Heritage Christmas,” said Mayor Mike Hurley. “The holidays are about hope, and about coming together with friends and family, and City staff have put in countless hours to make sure this year’s event will be safe, fun and bursting with holiday cheer.”

On December 4, join Mayor Hurley and our presenting partner Concord Pacific at 6pm for a special tree lighting ceremony to celebrate Bright in Burnaby, the official kick-off event for Heritage Christmas. We have once again committed to donating proceeds of the carousel ticket sales during the Bright in Burnaby event to the Burnaby Christmas Bureau. The bureau provides brand new gifts for children of families with low incomes, as well as hampers for seniors and individuals in adverse situations. Concord Pacific has generously committed to doubling the donations by matching the carousel ticket sales. Also, on selected days there will be complimentary photos on the Christmas Sleigh at the Concord Photo Booth.
